Each day is a new beginning God has blessed you with!

Love not the world, neither the things of the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The Best Place to Park Your Vehicle on Campus

The best place to park on campus will have to be either the small commuter west parking lot right beside the MAFES building or the commuter west parking diagnally behing the MAFES building. Since we are assigned parking decals, I can only park in the commuter west zones. The ones behind Dorman Hall are always so filled up and hard to get in. The reason I like the one behind the MAFES building is because not many people go there and there is never a problem finding a park. However, since I said that the parking behind Dorman is so filled up, one day at the beginning of the semester, I had to park on the side. Everyone else was doing it so I thought it was ok too. Then I came out and found a ticket on my windshield and was very upset. It said that we were not supposed to park outside of the lines. The ticket cost me 30 dollars and I have never parked outside of the lines since.

Best Place to Eat in Starkville

The best place to eat in Starkville is probably Mug Shots. It is a fun place to go socialize and eat a great meal. They have some awesome sandwiches and burgers. It is also located right in downtown on the main street so it is easy to find and not far to go to get there. Sometimes when I have had a long day, it feels good to go and relax for a little while. It has a fun atmosphere and it welcome to everyone. This is great because I have seen all ages from young kids to elderly adults. There is nothing like a place that offers this many good things about it. Everyone should go try it out now!

A ten day pay day.......

The National Finals Rodeo is a ten day event that the top 15 competitors in each event in the prca come to and show their talents. It is in Las Vegas where it has been held for many years after being held in Oklahoma City. It is a fun week jam packed with some great competitors with a lot of skill and talent. Brady Tryan and Jake Long won the team roping in the fourth round with a 3.5 second run. Everyone's eyes are still on Tuf Cooper in the calf roping and it looks like Trevor Brazile will end up with his eighth all around title.

Wow how time flies!

As this semester winds down, it is hard to believe that my first semester at MSU is almost over. It has been a great experience and a lot of fun. God has really taught me a lot about trusting Him and casting my cares upon Him. Before I made the decision to come, I was a little leery about leaving home and the environment I was used to. Sometimes it takes us getting away to see other things and opening our minds to other things that we may not have experienced before.

Can't Help but be Thankful!

We had such an amazing weekened and the weather was beautiful! With all the busyness of school, I do not get to rope as much as I would like. Things just worked out that we were able to rope Friday and Sunday. I am really trying to work on reaching and getting the rope on faster. These practices are really helping me. To top it off, Emily and her mom came, and we all went on a trail ride Saturday. It was benefiting Safe Place and there a ton of people there. I never expected it to be that much, but I am so glad that is was a great turn out. God has blessed us in so many ways that we can't even think to start numbering them. We should all try to reach out to someone in need each day and show them that we care.

What a coencidence!

Well last week, a group from MS State went to Indianapolis, Indiana to the National FFA Convention. We were on our way back Friday night about 8:30 headed south on I 65. Everything was going fine and I happened to look over and there was my girlfriend's dad's truck we were passing. I couldn't believe it so I called him and he said he had been east of Louisville to buy a seed drill and was on the way back. So then her mom got on the phone and said I could just ride the rest of the way back with them and I wouldn't have to go back to Starkville. After we had gotten into Nashville, we pulled off and I got out of the van and into their truck. I didn't tell Emily I was coming, so lets just say that me coming was a big surprise for her. I guess you never know who you will see on the road. Emily always says that I notice poeple's trucks.

The importance of Faith

This past Friday, my girlfriend's grandpa past away and it really got us to thinking. She and I both are Christians, but we know reality is that everyone is not. I believe that a personal relationship with Christ is the only way to receive eternal life in Heaven with our Lord and Savior. As we talked about the situation this weekened, we knew that God will take us whenever He desires and we will never know when. The only thing to know is to be ready. We are never promised tomorrow. Are you ready?
